① Unplug washer.
② Open the washer and locate the pump.
③ Unplug the wires from the pump.
④ Remove two hoses (use a large pliers on the hose clamps).
WARNING: both hoses will have water in them, so have a plan for the water — if the washer is full, it will probably best to bail it out before removing the hoses.
⑤ Remove the old pump by unscrewing two screws.
Note: The plastic shield comes off of the pump — you may need to remove it to reach the screws. Examine the new pump to determine how to remove the shield (it’s easy).
⑥ Reverse these steps to install the new pump.

Instruction when replacement:
The tools needed for this repair project is a putty knife, Phillips and flat blade screw driver, 1/4 inch nut driver, and needle nose pliers.
